Northampton, MA-based electronic act, MAMMAL DAP is comprised of Killian Karlsson (guitar), Zack Cross (synths), Reed Sutherland (bass, synth bass), and Colin Jalbert (drums, samples). Together they deftly weave hypnotic beats with pumping bass, lush pads and soaring hooks. Balancing a deep love of nostalgic tones with a digital-age sensibility, their sound evokes the aesthetics of Tycho, Flying Lotus, and Bonobo. Their energized live performances and rigorous touring have led them to share the stage with acclaimed acts including The Motet, The Nth Power, Moon Hooch, Tauk, and Marco Benevento.
Their debut EP 5lbs High5, captures the group's earliest songwriting sessions in a swirling blend of psychedelic soul and warm electronic textures. Mammal Dap’s 2015 self-titled release, and first full-length, marks their arrival with focused, road-tested material wrapped in wildly imaginative production that blurs the lines between electronic music and spirited group improvisation. The Deli Magazine calls it "a compelling combination of Ratatat's elasticity and Flying Lotus's claustrophobia." Mammal Dap paints a cosmic soundscape in their newest EP Deep Field, "making melodies so catchy and singular that they feel slightly familiar" (Take Magazine).
"Sounds that twist around your cerebrum like funky glitter silly string and explodes as a supernova satiation of fiery, electric vibration. A stellar instrumental album that explores a sense of emotion that transcends the spoken language."
"At times playful, yet always precise, they show off their songwriting and performance chops throughout the record, never allowing their technical playing to overshadow the ultimate backbone of each track: the groove."

"It’s a lush, laidback and funky sound that would provide a perfect soundtrack for cruising town in a very large Cadillac."
